Overview

Contractors may experience issues related to the .NET framework used by WorkSmart after installing it. As a result, users won't be able to start WorkSmart and will receive a fatal error message "CLR error: XXXXXX The program will now terminate".

This Common Language Runtime (CLR) error is caused by an internal issue generated by WorkSmart usage of the .NET framework installed in contractor's computer.

Prerequisites

• WorkSmart Windows version downloaded.

Diagnosis 

After installing WorkSmart, while trying to launch the application you will receive a fatal error message:

  

CLR errors are related to the .NET framework, the virtual machine component of Microsoft's .NET framework which manages the execution of .NET programs.

Solution

1. Search for the latest .NET framework version on Microsoft's website .NET Downloads.
2. Download the appropriate .NET framework.
3. Install the downloaded .NET framework.
4. Restart your computer.
5. Attempt to run WorkSmart again.
   
   

Confirmation

WorkSmart will execute without any errors and the login screen will appear:
