Error: "Worksmart Not Able to Write Time Cards to Disk" on macOS


While using Crossover Worksmart on macOS, you might receive the following error:

Worksmart is not able to write time card data to disk.

This may impact your reported earnings.





User must have admin access to the Mac computer.

Root Cause

No Full disc access to Crossover Worksmart.


To provide Crossover Worksmart full disc access, follow the steps below:

  1. Open System Preferences.
  2. Navigate to Security & Privacy.

  3. Find Full Disk Access.

  4. Add Crossover to the list.

  5. Ensure that Crossover application is listed in Security & Privacy - Accessibility section.

  6. Restart Crossover application and start logging your working time.

In case Full Disk Access is not visible, perform the below-listed steps:

  1. Click on Apple icon > System Preferences.

  2. Go to Security & Privacy.

  3. Click on a Privacy Tab.

  4. Click Full Disk Access section in the sidebar.

  5. Click the lock icon and enter your system password to unlock the panel settings.
