WorkSmart Installer Wizard Interrupted on Windows


While attempting to install WorkSmart on Windows, the installer application wizard may not finish the installation process and it will inform that it was interrupted before Crossover WorkSmart could be completely installed.

The reason for this issue is that the user environment doesn't meet the minimum requirements defined for the WorkSmart application to work as expected while using Windows operating system.





After executing the installer application, the wizard will show the following error message:

The wizard was interrupted before Crossover WorkSmart could
be completely installed.

Your system has not been modified. To complete installation at
another time, please run setup again.




  1. Mark the checkbox next to the Show the Windows installer log message.
  2. Click Finish.

  3. The error log file will be opened automatically, search for the text "Installation Failed", you will find the following messages:

    Checker Result: Checker Result: Installation Failed. ErrorCode: 8
    Action ended 00:22:39: ProcessCheckerResult. Return value 3.
    Action ended 00:22:39: INSTALL. Return value 3.

  4. Validate your hardware to confirm it meets the minimum requirements before attempting to install WorkSmart.



The WorkSmart installation will finish successfully, displaying the message:

The InstallShield Wizard has successfully installed Crossover WorkSmart. Click Finish to exit the wizard.
