Watcher Access to Team Rooms

Overview 

A Team Room Watcher is a manager that has access to Team Room's information without having anyone reporting to him in that Team Room. Managers with Watcher access can review team members' details, productivity data, and check-in chats information.

Watcher access can be granted by a Company Administrator or the team owner, Crossover Support will require approval from them if a request is received in order to add managers as watchers for a Team Room.

 

Prerequisites

  • Must be Team Room Owner or Company Administrator

 

Solution

  1. Open the Teams app.
  2. Click on the Team Room name in the left column.

  3. Click on the Settings button.

  4. Click New Watcher near the bottom of the page.

  5. Select the user to add as a watcher. Only users with the "manager" role will be available to add.

  6. Click Add.

Testing

The manager will now be a watcher for the selected team room, you can confirm following these steps:

  1. Open the Teams app.
  2. Click on the Team Room name in the left column.

  3. Click on the Settings button.

  4. New Watcher listed. You can remove this manager's watcher access by clicking the trash can icon next to his name.
