Overview
Contractors can't write their own Check-in Chats (CIC) unless the Worker Initiated Check-ins setting is enabled for their team. Only team room owners are allowed to change this setting for all the contractors under that team.
If contractors are unable to add their Check-in Chats for the current day, they will need to report it to their manager and he will need to contact the team room owner to have Check-in Chats enabled for the entire team room.
Prerequisites
- Must be Team Room Owner
Solution
- Navigate to the Check-in Chats app on the Crossover portal.
- Select the appropriate team from the drop-down at the top of the page.
- Click the Settings button on the right.

You can find who owns this team in the Teams app. There, you can select a team, and the team's owner will be displayed at the top-right (Owner: Hiring Manager Production, in the example below).
